Sto posjetiti u blizini Zatona

Because of its good geographical position and the vicinity of Zaton, besides resting, swimming and recreation, it also offers the possibility of visiting and sightseeing of natural beauty and various historical and cultural attractions. Zaton is within the boundaries of the significant landscape "Rijeka Krka - the bottom flow" which has been protected since 1968. The location includes the lower part of the river Krka, from the old Skradinski bridge to the Šibenik bridge with the coastal belt. Within the protected area are Skradin (25km), Prukljansko jezero (second in size in Croatia - 11.5km²), the mouth of the river Guduće and the canal of Sv. Ante.

Raslina is mentioned in 1463 under the name "Prukljan" (Villa Proclan) at the cove where it is located, away from Sibenik 14 km. Kaštel Raslina, as mentioned in 1515, consisted of solid walls with towers. Old Kaštel Raslin was under Turkish rule until 1576 and completely destroyed. The very old church of St. Mihovil was mentioned in 1457, though it was built much earlier.

The word Guduča (at Raslina) that flows into Prukljan is an extremely valuable ornithological site. Today, this site is characterized by morphology and genesis typical of the river - submerged lower river valley. The Krka Canyon is mostly formed in Tertiary, and after the last glacier, at the end of the Pleistocene 10,000 years ago, raising the sea level by about 100 meters gives today's appearance. The whole area from Skradin to the fortress of Sv. Nicholas represents the mouth of the river Krka, so-called ria.

There is also a small island Stipanac on Prukljansko Lake. In order to visit the island, it is necessary to arrive in Raslina (6km), from where the walls of the sunken town emerge from the water. About these, popularly called "Gavan's courts", many legends are still circulating today. During the time of an oscillation, it can take more than a kilometer to walk through the stone wall of the sunken town and reach the island Stipanac (Stjepan). On the island there are remains of the antique church of St. Stephen. The church is, because of the fine-grained stone, almost destroyed. Part of what was left was almost destroyed during the Homeland War when the firefighter plane Canadair dumped the mass of water he carried in it.

In addition to the previous mentioned sites that you can visit, there are two national parks Krka (21km) and Kornati (30km) and Vransko Lake Nature Park (38km) near Zaton.

Krka is the seventh national park in Croatia known for its large number of lakes and waterfalls. Kornati covers an area of about 220 km² and consists of 89 islands, islets and cliffs. From the surface of the park, only about 1/4 is mainland while the rest of the marine ecosystem. It has natural and cultural features. The vertical cliffs of the "crown" of the Kornati islands facing the open sea are the most popular phenomenon of this park. They are also habitats of rare species. What is to be seen is the "Crowns" (representing the surface of a large tectonic defect extending from Istria and ending somewhere in Central Dalmatia (perhaps even south), causing the global movement of Africa to the north and its "staggering" into Europe), Magazin's (Metlina, Otočevac, Opat, Vrujsko, Litni vrh, Ravni Žakan), underwater of the Kornati "Kruna", the Illyrian fortress, the Tureta fortress (a special type of landslide where the "limestone" package slipped on its lithologically equivalent basis) , An early Christian creek of the basilica at the foot of the Tureta fortress, the church of Our Lady of Tarc, solana in the Lavsa bay and the Venetian fortress.

Vransko Lake is the largest natural lake in Croatia. This lake is actually a karsty field filled with water and a rare example of cryptodepression. Up to now, there are about 235 species of birds in the park, of which 102 are nestling birds (mostly swampfish), while the rest of the lake is a resting place during a relocation or winter resort. According to estimates, there are between 20,000 and 200,000 birds per day living in the wilderness park. The park's specialty is the richness of fish and developed sport fishing tourism. The dominant feature of the Park is a special ornithological reserve, almost intact natural habitats of waterfowl, a rare swamp system, great biodiversity, exceptional scientific and ecological values. Within the park of nature, Mašković Han is the most spectacular monument of Turkish civil architecture in Europe, the cave site of Baldina jama (where the human skeleton was found around 6,000 years old) and one of the historic sites of the Liburnian graves of 1700 BC. n. e.

The Čikola Canyon has been protected since 1965. Čikola is the largest tributary of the Krka River, runs to the village of Čavoglav, flows through the town of Drniš and flows into the river Krka near Lake Torak. Part of Čikole, which is protected as a significant landscape, stretches from Drniš to about 1 km downstream of the new Miljevica bridge over Čikola. This area is characterized by a very deep canyon, which is an exceptional geomorphological phenomenon, and locality is extremely important as a hydrological phenomenon in karst. The canyon is deep and up to 170 m deep.

Slap Krčić is a 22-meter-high waterfall in the north of Knin field, where Krcic waves in Krk. It is located above the source of the river Krka and has its own legend. On the hillside on the left once was a fortress that served as a defense bridge. The legend says that people will once again build a bridge when Krcic is never touched again and when people stop fighting each other.

Knin is also known as the "Royal City" because it was the capital of the Croatian kingdom at the time of King Dmitry Zvonimir. As it is already mentioned in its vicinity, there is the source of the river Krka (below the slope Krcic) which flows through the town and the highest Croatian mountain Dinara which is 15 kilometers far away. The most recognizable symbol of the city is the fortress on Mount Spas, which is the second largest preserved military fortification in Europe.

Drniš is a town in Croatia. It was built as a fortress during the Turks' penetration. The town abounds with historic monuments such as Gradina and Meštrović The source of life.

From the historical and cultural sights one can visit the village settlement at the top of Velika Mrdakovica which belongs to the ancient Liburnian-Roman town of Arauzona, which is only explored in a smaller extent but if it is judged by the terrain configuration, the ways in which the rocks and directions are provided , It is very likely that the same story will continue in the future. In the village of Danilo Gornje, located 17 km from Sibenik, is one of the most important archeological sites in Croatia. At the site of Šema Torij there is a complex of Roman villas, at the foot of the settlement's remains and fortification system from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages. Danilo area was inhabited by members of the Illyrian Dalmatian tribe and they founded the Rider settlement. The town of Bitin resolved the questions of the surrounding neolithic in Dalmatia. The entire neolithic cultural circle is called the Danilian culture. In Bribir, 15 kilometers from the town of Skradin, there is an attractive locality known as Bribirska glavica, the center of the Croatian state in the 13th century and a cultural monument of the highest category. From the antiquity, the imposing city walls of the large stone blocks of the eastern city gate, buildings, a system of public water supply tanks, a Roman mausoleum with sarcophagi, stand out. In the vicinity of Srima at the site of Srimska lokva, valuable archaeological finds were found for the cult of relics. Two old Christian single-nave basil from the 6th century, popularly known as the so-called " Prizba. Since the churches are next to the other we call them basilica geminatae or 'twin church' - a double church. The reason and purpose of such constructions are not fully explained. One of the theses is that geminatae basilicas are a combination of congregational churches dedicated to the service of God and the memorial dedicated to the cult of relics.

Only 10 km away from Zaton is the city of Sibenik with its old town core, with buildings like the cathedral of St. James, which is under UNESCO protection, the church of St. Lawrence with its medieval monastery Mediterranean garden, the church and its museum of St. Barbare, church of St. Dominica, St. Cross, St. Nicholas, sv. On the hill above the old core are the fortress of St. Ivana and Baron from where it overlooks the whole surrounding area and the islands.

Šibenik channel sv. Ante, one of the most beautiful parts of the Adriatic coast and the most beautiful sea ports in the city. Some 2 km from the center there is a promenade through the canal. Ante, the attractions that Sibenik finally returns to one of the most valuable city areas - the shore of the canals of St. Ante, which with its natural beauty can be seen at first sight and a beautiful panoramic view of Sibenik, the Šibenik archipelago and the fortress of St. Nicholas hide and numerous cultural and natural values. The walkway connects areas that were once under military rule - Panikovac Bay (closer to the town) and the fortress of St. Nicholas (at the entrance to St. Anthony's Gate). The link is about 4.5 kilometers long and due to the hilly terrain it takes about an hour. The walkway also includes several attractions. In addition to the main gazebo (about 1.5 km away from the entrance to the Panikovac bay), from which you can enjoy the panorama of 360 degrees, there is also the attractive cave of St. Ante with an underground chapel.

In the tourist complex Solaris you can visit Dalmatian ethno village that returns us through time. Walk through the narrow stone street in the village to find out how to weave and produce olive oil and brandy in old ways. All this will be shown to traditionally trained craftsmen working in small houses and workshops.

Two interesting things to visit are also to be mentioned. One of the Hawk center in Dubrava, which can rightfully be said to be specific, both for the Šibenik - Knin County and for Croatia, because it is the only such center where you can see different types of birds of prey. It is located in the heart of the Mediterranean wilderness and at the same time only 7 km from Sibenik, and is an indispensable place for those who want to taste the wilderness and adventure. A special program is prepared for visitors to enjoy the beauty of the Hawk Flight and be "eyes in the eye" with these incredible hunters. For centuries, a variety of predators have been cultivated in the center for many years, for which there is less and less space in the nature because of the unhindered course of "civilization". It can rightly be said that it is specific for the Šibenik - Knin County as well as for Croatia because it is the only such center where different bird species can be seen. Special place is also a stationary for wounded, sick or simply starved birds who need help to survive in nature. We can proudly say that the hawking, as the art of coaching, at least as far as Croatia is concerned, is born here, and that it has sprung up many youths who today ruled over this medieval art.

Another interesting thing in Sibenik is Baldekin where on October 22, 2011, the bronze Drazen cast of Akademik sculptor Kažimira Hraste was revealed, showing the basketball player in his first phase of his career sitting on a bench with a basketball ball between his legs. The Memorial Museum, which was initiated by Biserka Petrović, was erected in Drazen's apartment in the nearby town district of Bule. During the European Basketball Championship on September 18, 2013, Dražen Petrovic was selected for the best European basketball player of all time in the selection organized by the portal dedicated to basketball HoopsHype.com. 38 basketball players from the Eurobasket in Slovenia were selected, who were supposed to list the top five European basketball players of all time.
